A beautiful hike to search for wolves near Rome

The wolf is the symbol of Rome and it has always been deeply rooted in the collective imagination of mankind. Surprisingly, this elusive animal can be found only 28 km far from the Colosseum, more precisely on the mountains Prenestini, between Tivoli and Palestrina. From the summit of Mount Guadagnolo, you can enjoy a wonderful view over the Roman countryside and the Apennines. We shall walk from the village of San Gregorio da Sassola to the mountain ridge and along the way we will look for the signs of the wolf, and we will check the videos of its passage, on some fototraps that I've placed in the area. A beautiful hike in the nature in search of the lord of the woods.
